You can park in the following places for free but usually require a parking disc which allows up to 2 hours free parking:
Parking discs can be acquired by neighbouring shops for no cost.
During the annual agricultural show a fair takes place which is held on the high street, plain and college square which makes parking in these places unavailable during this period.

The Pay & Display machines for display tickets accept 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins. The machines accept overpayment but do not supply change. Alternatively savings can be made by purchasing ParkCard Discount Cards.

Any queries, payments of charges and challenges must be made direct to Scarborough Borough Council. Hambleton Council and North Yorkshire County Council are not responsible for parking.
